Lucas fue encontrado junto a una gasolinera en la zona de El Cubillo, Telde, con un fuerte golpe debido a un atropello pero en buen estado, ya que, como descubrimos después, Lucas era alimentado y cuidado por una pareja de ancianos que lo encontró en la calle, pero a los que se les había perdido después de que una vecina le diera un golpe con el coche...
Tras hablar con ellos y ver su precaria situación les pedimos que nos permitieran buscar un buen hogar para Lucas, y ellos accedieron con pena, pero pensando en lo mejor para el perro, y eso es lo que haremos!
Lucas es un encanto, es un perro pequeño que no llega a 8 kilos y que se lleva bien con todo ser viviente! Convive con otros perros, tanto adultos como cachorros, sin ningún tipo de problemas, le encanta estar y jugar con los niños, y a los gatos los respeta (entre otras cosas porque le dan miedo....)
Lucas ya está vacunado y desparasitado, tiene microchip, pasaporte, es negativo en filaria y será castrado en este mes de septiembre.
Un control de la salud se hace a cada animal cuando llege a nosotros. Además del control obligatorio antes del viaje, si encontrará familia adoptiva en el extranjero (de momento solo tenemos protectora colaboradora en Suecia). Nosotros nos encargamos de todo!

Lucas hittades vid en bensinstation i området El Cubillo, Telde, påkörd av en bil och skadad men ändå i god form. Vi fann senare ut att han hade varit gatuhund men tagits om hand av ett äldre par. Han hade rymt från dem sedan en granne kört på honom med bilen....
Efter att vi pratat med dem och förstått hur svårt det var för dem att kunna ta väl hand om Lucas, bad vi att få ta hand om honom och försöka hitta ett tryggt hem åt honom. De gav oss tillåtelse med sorg i hjärtat men insåg att det var för hundens bästa. Därför letar vi nu efter detta trygga hem åt Lucas!
Lucas är verkligen en härlig hund!! Han är liten, knappa 8kg och kommer väldigt bra överens med alla levande varelser i hans närhet! Nu bor han i fosterhem med andra hundar, både vuxna och valpar, utan någon typ av problem. Han älskar att vara med och leka med barn, han respekterar katter (dels för att han är lite rädd för dem...) Lucas är redan vaccinerad, avmaskad, har microchip, pass, uppvisar negativt resultat i filaria-test (hjärtmask) och kommer att bli kastrerad i September 2013.
Hälsokontroll görs när vi tar hand om hundarna och innan de reser om de hittar adoptivfamilj utomlands (än så länge har vi bara en samarbetande djurskyddsförening i Sverige). Vi ordnar med allt! Om du vill veta mer om honom, skriv till oss! canaryanimalrescue@gmail.c

Lucas was found at a petrol station in "El Cubillo" in the locality of Telde, caught by a car, injured but anyway in good shape. Later on we found out that he had been a street dog that was taken care of by an older couple. He had escaped from their home as he was hit by the neighbour´s car…. After talking to them and understanding how difficult it was for them to take good care of Lucas, we offer to take him in and try to find a secure home for him. They sadly admitted that it was the best for the dog. That´s why we´re now looking for this safe home for Lucas! Lucas is really a lovely dog! He´s small, not even 8 kg and is going on well with all living creatures close to him! He is now staying in a foster home with other dogs, both adults and puppies, without any kind of problem. He loves being and playing with children, he respects cats (also because he is a bit scared for them...) Lucas is vaccinated, de-wormed, has a microchip, a passport and showed negative result in the filaria-test (heart worm). He will be castrated in September 2013 The animals are checked by a veterinarian at their arrival to us, as well as the obligatory health-control before they travel, in case we found a adoptive family abroad (so far we have only a cooperation with a Swedish rescue organisation).
