Peter fue regalado a unos niños, y antes de que el animal cumpliera 3 meses ya lo querían llevar al albergue.... Cuándo aprenderemos que no son juguetes, sino seres vivos capaces de amar con locura a quien los maltrata o los abandona, sin entender que nunca llegarán a conocer un cariño más sincero!
Allá ellos, lo que importa es Peter, que cumplirá 5 meses el próximo 13 de noviembre, y es un perro activo y juguetón, sociable pero con carácter! Peter es pequeño, no llega a los 5 kilos, así que de adulto será pequeño. Ya tiene completo su protocolo de vacunación, está chipado, dispone de pasaporte, está desparasitado, libre de filaria y castrado. Además habrá otro control obligatorio antes del viaje, si encontrará familia adoptiva en el extranjero (de momento solo tenemos protectora colaboradora en Suecia). Nosotras nos encargamos de todo! Ah, y convive con gatos!

Peter skänktes som present till några barn...och innan han hunnit bli tre månader ville man redan lämna över honom till den statliga hundförvaringen (där de avlivas inom loppet av några veckor).
Det är mycket vanligt på Gran Canaria (och resten av Spanien) att man inte inser att en hund inte är en leksak. När man upptäcker att den uträttar sina behov när man minst anar det, brukar inte lösningen vara att träna dem till att bli rumsrena utan man skänker då istället bort djuret. Eller placerar dem på takterrassen i en kedja...Man förstår inte att hundar är komplexa levande varelser som har en gränslös kärlek till människan som tar hand om dem även om de blir slagna och övergivna. Människan har då inte insett att man aldrig kommer att uppleva en mer hängiven och uppriktig kärlek!
Nog om det, det viktiga är nu Peter som fyller 3 månader den 13 september och är en aktiv, lekfull, social hund med bestämd karaktär! Peter är en liten hund som vid 3 månaders ålder väger knappt 3 kg, dvs. han kommer att bli en tämligen liten hund. Innan den 13 September har han genomgått sin första veterinärkontroll. Dessutom görs den obligatoriska veterinärkontrollen innan hunden reser om vi hittar adoptivfamilj utomlands (än så länge har vi bara en samarbetande djurskyddsförening i Sverige). Vi ordnar med allt!

Peter was given as a present to some children… and by the time he was 3 months old the parents already wanted to leave him at the state-owned dog-shelter (where they put animals down within a few weeks if they don´t find anyone who wants to adopt them). It is very common on Gran Canary (and in the rest of Spain) that people doesn´t realize that a dog is not a toy. When they find out that puppies do their "business" at anytime anywhere, they don´t come up with the solution to house-train the dog..instead they leave it to the dog-shelter or put it up on the roof-terrace in a chain..People tend to not understand that a dog is a complex creature with no limits for their love towards the person who takes care of them, even if they are being beaten and abandoned... Obviously that person don´t realize they will never experience a more devoted and sincere love than a love from a dog!
Enough about that, what is important now is Peter who will be 3 months old on the 13 of September. He is an active, playful, social dog with a strong character! Peter is a small dog, that now, at the age of 3 months', weighs barely 3 kg. Which means he will stay a rather small dog. Before September 13 has he undergone his first veterinary control. Later on, when its time to travel, in case we find him a forever home abroad (so far we only have a cooperation with a Swedish Rescue Organisation). In that case, he will do the obligatory veterinary control just before the journey. We will arrange everything!
